We take good care of your data.

Vertica.dk is owned by Vertica A/S (CVR no. 26263573). This policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains which personal data we collect about you and how we process it.


How we process personal data

“Personal data” is any information that can be linked to you.

Vertica is the data controller and processes your personal data in these situations:


a) Website visits and cookies

When you visit our website and you agree to our use of cookies, we automatically collect information about how you use the website. This may include:

  • the browser you use
  • the search terms you use
  • your IP address (including your network location)
  • information about your computer, tablet, or phone

We use this information to improve the website and your user experience, and to show relevant marketing (including retargeting) via Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

b) Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your name and email address so we can send you newsletters.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the newsletter or by contacting us.

We keep your details until you unsubscribe. We also store documentation of your consent for 2 years after we last used your consent, in accordance with the Danish Consumer Ombudsman’s guidelines.

c) When you contact us

If you contact us by email, we process the personal data you provide in your message so we can respond to you.

We delete your enquiry once the matter has been resolved.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest), as it is in our interest to respond to enquiries.


d) Customers

If you are a customer, we store your contact and payment details so we can communicate with you and invoice you.

This is necessary to enter into and fulfil our agreement with you. We keep information that must be stored as accounting documentation for 5 years after the customer relationship ends, under the Danish Bookkeeping Act.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (contract).


Sharing personal data

We use sub-processors (including IT providers) to help us process personal data. In relevant cases, data may also be shared with banks, debt collection agencies, shipping providers, auditors, etc.

We only use data processors in the EU, in secure third countries, or in countries that provide an adequate level of protection. The following providers may process data outside the EU:

Microsoft Inc.

  • Microsoft Office 365 (terms available here)
  • LinkedIn: company profile on LinkedIn (terms available here)

Google Inc.

  • Google Analytics: website statistics (terms available here)
  • YouTube: company profile on YouTube (terms available here)

Mixpanel (Bundle)

  • Mixpanel: website analytics (terms available here)

Meta Platforms, Inc.

  • Facebook: marketing of our products (terms available here)
  • Instagram: marketing of our products (terms available here)

HubSpot Inc.

  • HubSpot: CRM and marketing platform (used, among other things, for data storage and sending newsletters) (terms available here)

We have signed Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with the providers listed above and put additional safeguards in place to protect personal data transfers.

For customer solutions, the use of sub-processors is regulated by the relevant data processing agreements.


Your rights

You have the following rights regarding the personal data we hold about you:

  • You can request access to the personal data we process about you
  • You can request a copy of your personal data
  • You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal data
  • In certain cases, you can ask us to delete your personal data (“the right to be forgotten”)
  • If we process your data based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time
  • You can request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (data portability)
  • You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) about how we process your personal data
