At Vertica, you’re joining a community of 80+ passionate developers. We speak many tech languages and play with countless platforms, but our code has one constant orbit: e-commerce.

Det vi laver
Our short answer? Absolutely not.
We work with ambitious leaders in e-commerce, where the solution is the beating heart of the business. It’s woven into sales, marketing, production, warehousing, and logistics - and it’s mission-critical.
When systems go down, it can mean:
– no payments, either online or in-store
– no new supplier orders
– no access to catalogs, sales follow-ups, or promotions
– no delivery forecasts or shipments
– no customer service around product data, returns, or history
And because most of our clients operate internationally, their solutions must perform across many markets, each with unique business rules. That brings even more data, more touchpoints - and far more complexity.
This is why Vertica builds from scratch, delivering solutions tailored to fit our clients’ business at every level.
Technology is our key tool. It drives your professional development, your everyday joy at work, your conversations with clients, the innovation behind our solutions, and the quality of every delivery.
That’s why we continuously test and assess new technologies -to make sure we’re always one step ahead.
How we work
You’ll be assigned to a dedicated team and a single client, giving you the time and space to dive deep into the solution and be part of every decision. Some of our client relationships have lasted 5, 10, even 20 years. After spending so many hours together, many of our clients now see us as colleagues.
Projects vary in scope, but a new e-commerce solution typically takes 4,000–10,000 hours. Once a project is complete, it’s handed over to our internal service team, who handle operations—so you can focus on new projects for the client.
A team usually consists of 6–8 people: a mix of backend and frontend developers, UX designers, testers, and a project manager. Thanks to our non-hierarchical setup, it’s the team that decides everything—from which technologies to use, to how tasks are solved and prioritized. No bosses need to sign off on your ideas before they reach the client. You have a major influence on your own workday and tasks—both day to day and in the long run.
