The IT distributor EET Group is a successful, fast-growing company. To support future growth, the company has implemented a completely new PIM solution, centralising all product data and automating the processes for product creation across countries, languages, and markets.

Challenge
In just 10 years, EET Group has quadrupled its revenue, from €100 million in 2008 to €430 million in 2018—clearly reflecting a company in strong growth.
Each year, EET Group handles close to one million orders, with the vast majority of customers ordering products online. Their customers include IT resellers, installers, and retail chains, all of whom require both fast delivery and detailed product knowledge for resale or installation at end customers’ sites.
This makes it crucial that products can be created and made available to customers quickly and efficiently, with all relevant information attached to each product.
To maintain and support high efficiency and data quality around its products—now and in the future—EET Group wanted a central platform to consolidate all product data and automate parts of the product creation process.
Solution
At Vertica, we have advised EET Group and handled the implementation of the company’s new PIM solution in Stibo Systems STEP.
Stibo Systems STEP is an advanced and scalable MDM/PIM system that enables the management and connection of product data across countries, languages, and markets, making it the natural choice for EET Group. With the right customisation, we worked closely with EET Group to develop a solution that aligns with the company’s ambitions for scaling and further growth.
Specifically, this means that EET Group now has a PIM system that makes it smarter and easier to create new products and maintain product data in one central location.

Website
In addition to integrations with Icecat, there is also an integration with CNET, which provides export and customs numbers for the products. Integrations have been established with Google Analytics and 16 individual country versions of Navision. Finally, SSO (single sign-on) has been set up, with user rights managed through Azure Active Directory.
The PIM solution manages the company’s more than 1.3 million products and scales as new products are added. It also includes 65,000 descriptive attributes, which will form the basis for an even better user experience on the company’s new website—enabling improved search, easier filtering, and more accurate product recommendations across the catalogue.
This lays the foundation for several exciting new services and digital offerings, with the website as the central hub.
